I had the pleasure of capturing this special moment with this extraordinary couple. They are both from Guatemala, but Julio lives here in New York and Judith lives in Guatemala. In one of her yearly visits to New York, Julio decides that on the day of her arrival from Guatemala, he makes her a surprise party with all of their friends. The twist to this party is that, not only did she not expect this welcome, she did not expect his marriage proposal. To top it all off, he invites their Pastor, who blessed their engagement. 

   

    As you can see, she was extremely emotional. These are the shots that are truely precious and that I always strive to get when I shoot special occasions like these.
